Background

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Peter attended the Scottish Theatre and Music School in his youth, accomplishing many annual performances and cabarets where he developed his passion for the arts. After completing his Higher National Diploma at Edinburgh’s Telford College under Scott Johnston and Tracey Macdonald, mainly learning the practice of Augusto Boal and Uta Hagen, he then worked professionally on exciting projects such as the Highland tour of Fields of Barley by George Gunn with Grey Coast Theatre and short films such as Time to be Sleeping and The Game with Big Box Film.

He then decided to expand his experience and learning further by moving to London, where he continued his studies at Actor Works London under Daniel Brennan. He was awarded the Tim Reynolds scholarship two years consecutively, an achievement he is grateful for and immensely proud of. There he learned the works of Viola Spolin and made great advancements in voice work, stage combat, and classical Theatre. He then lived and worked as an actor in London, represented by 1984 Personal Management, a cooperative agency where he gained vast experience and knowledge in casting and the legal and clerical side of the industry.

More recently, he has been involved in successful independent film projects such as the lead in Coyote—a short neo-western which was an official selection at Reykjavik Film Festival and Prague International Indie Film Festival, where he was nominated for Best Actor. Another recent project, Kinder Surprise, was an entry to the inaugural World Film Challenge presented by The 48 Hour Film Project—this was an official selection at Filmapalooza, winning the Global Challenge, and was later shown at Cannes Film Festival in 2022.

Having previously worked on stage productions such as The Merchant of Venice, The Trojan Women, Angels in America, and two European tours with Vienna’s English Theatre, he considers himself extremely fortunate to have had such a vast and diverse range of projects under his belt and is eager to continue that journey.

After a brief hiatus from acting, focusing on life and marriage to his wonderful wife from California, he has now relocated to the U.S. and is actively pursuing representation and is immensely excited to contribute to the carrying stream of creative storytelling once more.
