On the Massacre of glencoe

To mark the day that the Massacre of Glencoe took place, this innovative video celebrating one of Sir Walter Scott’s lesser-known works has been created by Edinburgh-based company Double Take Projections. Sir Walter Scott’s ‘On the Massacre of Glencoe’ poem Narrated by Peter J. Gordon, commemorates one of the darkest incidents in Scottish history – the Massacre of Glencoe which saw more than 70 Highlanders killed for alleged treason. This video shows the words of Sir Walter Scott’s poem brought to life, beamed onto the ethereal Glencoe scenery.
